SherWeb Acquires Pulsar360 – Expands Presence in the VoIP Market
MONTREAL, May 3, 2019 – SherWeb, a global cloud services provider and winner of several Microsoft
awards and industry recognitions, announced today it was joining forces with Pulsar360, a premier VoIP service
company.
Company CEO Peter Cassar said the move would allow SherWeb to expand its presence in the booming market for Voice
Over Internet Protocol (VoIP). “We’ve been interested in expanding our presence in this market for some time now,”
said Cassar. “The experience and know-how that Pulsar360 brings to the table is invaluable and completely aligned
with our vision.”
The move will scale SherWeb’s presence in the market and it will allow Pulsar360 to leverage the resources of one of
North America’s leading cloud distributors.
Business as Usual
Under the terms of the transaction, which is effective today, Pulsar360 will remain an independent company. No
changes will be made to the company name, staff, services and solutions or technical support.
The announcement coincides with the retirement this year of Pulsar360’s President and CEO Michael Dozier and
Executive Vice-President Gerald Smurlick, after 8 years at the helm of the company and more than four decades in the
industry.

will now have access to a whole new set of resources and capabilities. This partnership will allow us to provide
even better solutions and services to our partners and customers.”
Founded in 2001, Pulsar360 is one of the oldest VoIP service companies in North America and an early proponent of
cloud technology in the communications industry. The company currently provides services to over 1200 customers.
The acquisition by SherWeb comes at an ideal time. A recent report by Zion Market Research has predicted that the
global market for VoIP services is expected to reach $140 billion by 2021.
